Yuhong grew up in Si-Chuan, China. She received her Bachelor's degree in psychology from Beijing University in 1996. Subsequently she spent one year at the University of Notre Dame working with Dr. Laura Carlson and Dr. Brad Gibson. Yuhong entered Yale's graduate program in psychology in 1997 and spent two years in Dr. Marvin Chun's lab and one year in Dr. Lawrence Marks lab. Yuhong received her PhD in cognitive psychology in 2000 from Yale University. From 2001-2003 she worked in Dr. Nancy Kanwisher's lab as a postdoc before moving to Harvard University for a four-year stint as an assistant professor. Yuhong moved to the University of Minnesota in July 2007 and was recently promoted to associate professor with tenure. Yuhong is interested in visual cognition.
